Hi there,
currently I'm trying to get a dual DVB-S setup and have done a bit of reading but would like further input from people.
I'm using a standard sky dish (10750 single LNB) to get satellite freeview from optus D1 to my HTPC, I'd like to add another DVB-S tuner to my setup so I can record/watch channels on different muxes in mediaportal.
I originally thought it was as easy as getting a splitter but then of course which tuner would be controlling the satellite!? After doing a little research (certainly not exhaustive though) I see many people claiming that the only way to do this with a single cable is to get a stacker/destacker (which apparently costs quite a bit).
An easy option is to get a dual LNB but then I'd have to run 2 cables.
Is there anyway I can connect 2 tuners from a single cable without the Stacker/destacker? What other options are out there for me.
Thanks,
