Hi there,
I have an HVR4000 installed and I am using DVBLink for the DVB-S side with Windows 7 MCE, that side of life is now working great.....

My problem is if I try to set up Freeview via DVB-T.... The first way I tried was to tune the DVB-T channels in directly through MCE. It worked however if I changed between DVB-S and DVB-T channels the tuner would end up failing to respond. I am assuming this is because DVBLink is trying to control the hardware for DVB-S and MCE is trying to control it for DVB-T. It appears to be a contention issue ?

I thought I could cure this by setting up the DVB-T through DVBLink .... unfortunately there are no settings in there for New Zealand DVB-T......  What are others doing?

The HVR3/4000's are hybrid tuners.

The Digital and Analog "sections" of the card are seperate, and can be used at the same time ie you can use say DVB-S with the analog inputs.

The DVB-T/S are combined ie you can use one or the other, but not both at the same time.

Thats why when you try to use both at the same time the "insert whatever piece of software here" gets a tuner in use/no hardware available message.

If you want to use DVB-T in DVBLink just use "Europe" - which selects the tuning frequencies which cover the New Zealand space. You can then deselect all the irrelevent frequencies depending on your region.
