Hauppauge Nova-T-500 Dual DVB-T Tuner
Creative Soundblaster Xtreme X-Fi XtremeGamer Soundcard
Antec NSK2480B Case w/ 380w Antec Earthwatts PSU

So yeah, that's basically it. Want it to be able to record freeview HD and do blu-ray playback. Oh, and I already have these parts,
just wondering if it will suffice. If you have any suggestions for improvements that would be great :)

That sort of set up for that sort of use would be fine i would think

assuming all the graphics processing is offloaded to the GPU (as it should be) then the celeron should be fine.

assuming all the graphics processing is offloaded to the GPU (as it should be) then the celeron should be fine.

Exactly what i think, for video playback a CPU like that should be fine, its just graphics power and a good amount of RAM that would be the most important

With the right codec, and that video card your cpu should be fine. I have the 8600gt video card and my cpu is an amd 3600 dual core.

The 8500 was supposed to be the minimum for h.264 decoding onboard.
