My PVR's main drive is only 200GB, so I'd like to move older recordings over to a second drive that has much more capacity.

What's the best way to do this?  I was thinking of writing a basic .net app to move the oldest recordings over when the main drive reached 80% capacity, but if there's already an app to do this, no point reinventing the wheel.

Take a backup of your gbpvr.db3 file before you start moving recordings about - as insurance in case anything goes wrong.

Hit the 'export recordings' button to create a recordings-dump.xml. Move the recordings to the new drive. Edit that recordings-dump.xml in notepad, and do a 'search and replace' to replace the old directory path with the new directory path, then hit the 'import recordings' button and you should be good to go.
