Hi guys, Have a problem here that hopefully someone can help me with. If I plug in a Zenith decoder sky works fine, it I plug in the new (ish) motorola decoder I have no locked signal and rain fade message? I am in the same room, same sky card all same cables etc.

Any idea on how to make changes so that the newer decoder will work? Many thanks, and yes as my user name says I am a "geeks wife" but he has no idea about sky ....

Check all the settings in the spanner menu are the same, I cant recall what it is called on a sky box, but there is a setting called the local oscillator that will be either 11300 or 10750. Change it to the other one and try again.

hmm can't find anything with either of those numbers, and in the diagnostics settings you can't change anything either :-(

just to let you know I found it... so for other users who have same prob, you go into advanced setup, enter your password, then go into LNB setup, and change to other of the numbers that you have given above.
Thanks so much, saved me $80 on a call out. :-)

Hi, this pdf I hand out is probably what you want, but it sounds like you found it anyway.
