I recently deleted a bunch of music off my HDD but it's still showing in Media Center's Music library. Obviously when I try to play the missing files it fails.

What do I have to do to refresh the Music library so that the deleted music no longer appears?

Thanks

-Matt

I am not sure of the official method, however what I do when I have issues with the music library is go in and remove the folders under settings then go and add them again.

I believe you can safely delete the following folder, then Windows Media Center will rebuild it:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\eHome\Art Cache

You can do it through WMP...

open WMP > Library > Apply Media Information Changes

I haven't had to do it on my Win7 machine but it works on my Vista machine.
