Hi all!
I think I noticed something interesting when the new 1.1.0 RC4 is loading the tvguide.xml file, can someone else please test this and reply?
Do this:
- place a tvguide.xml file somewehere let's say containing TV1 and TV2 schedule then point MP to it (in config) and load the file. Launch MP and the "Tv Guide" screen will show only the shows for TV1 and TV2 because that's all what the tvguide.xml contains, correct?
- then create another tvguide.xml let's say for TV3, put it SOMEWHERE ELSE, re-configure MP for the new location of tvguide.xml, load this file, then launch MP.
I expected MP to show only TV3 this time but surprise: it shows all three channels.
it is like the new RC4 creates a copy of the tvguide.xml and compares this with the new tvguide.xml everytime when it is asked to load the new epg. If there is new data then IT IS ADDED. The channels with no data in the new tvguide remain unaffected.
I believe that before (1.0.2.0) the new tvguide was loaded REPLACING the old tvguide.
Does this sound right? Can anyone please confirm this behaviour? there is no drawback, just curious if MP acted like this from the beginning or it is a new feature.
