I have an OnkyoTX SR 604 and have My Sky HDMI in then out to the Tv.

The problem is : I cannot get PLX Movie Mode on HDMI Movies the receiver flicks to PLXI Music and the PLXI Movies cannot be accessed it disapers from the receiver menu.

I have played with the settings trying to get it right but do not seem to be able to resolve the issue.

I have read and re read the manual but just cant fathom out the problem

I know its a setting but which one ???

PLXI Movies works fine on NON HD movies.

Any help appreciated

Does it allow that processing to happen on a 5.1 channel? My old reciver locks out heaps of options when given 5.1, but they are all the ones to do with the fake prologic surround so are not needed.

Yeah sorry I can't help specifically but I do know that the available sound processing options does depend on the input signal. I suspect non HD movies just have a stereo soundtrack, but the HD movies have a 5.1 sound track perhaps?

If you check the manual you should find a page with all the processing options and listing with ticks in columns when that option is selectable/applicable.

To be fair though I wouldn't worry about it as basically as richms mentions above, the ones that are not selectable are the ones to simulate a multichannel sound from only a stereo input. When the receiver is being fed 5.1 sound it doesn't let you apply those options as you already have genuine 5.1 sound.

So point is you're probably not missing out on anything.
