I attended last year and it was a blast. I just received a e-mail from the Commercial Division of the US Embassy saying the following

Hello:  my agency has a relationship with the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) organizers allowing me to register New Zealand attendees for free.  This is a saving to each attendee of US$100.  (Effective October 1st, other registrants have to pay US$100).

If anybody is interested drop me a PM and I can forward you their contact details.

Of course if you register before October 1, it's free anyway but this allows you to defer making up your mind!
