Saw some at Woolworths and Countdown. Perhaps also check The Warehouse?

heaps on trademe. The quality ones go for quite a bit these days. The real cheap ones are usually pretty poor quality and stretch. I have some that are about 30 years old, when we got our first vcr and they still record well, they have probably had hundreds of read writes on them.

They are fairly common still. In Johnsonville (just out of Wellington) Countdown, Woolworths and the Warehouse all have stacks of them. As does the Warehouse in Porirua & Lyall bay.

While the price is inching up, they are still the recording medium of choice for many people, esp the older age groups. I have elderly relatives who each have 2 VCRs (living room & bedroom) and look at be blankly when I try to explain DVD recorders.

Stink one, I just sold two sets on trademe of brand new ones I found in the giant garage cleanup. Set up a search on trademe and it will email you when they become available.

Should technically be cheap as now but technology starts going the other way when it's older, gets more expensive as it becomes harder to source.
