I am looking at upgrading my 32" LCD TV of 5 years and getting an LED LCD TV. The KONKA one listed here looks good: http://www.playtech.co.nz/afawcs0139235/CATID=47/EX=0/ID=14391/SID=213327319/idPlaytechNZ_OrderDetails=146563/idOrderDetailsSession=345105376/productdetails.html  basically a 46" FHD 120Hz+ LED LCD TV, they SAY it is a Samsung panel with KONKA firmware/OS and from reading previous forum posts on here I wanted to hear opinions from others that may have experience with this brand. Playtech say they have sold over 100+ Konka TVs and have only ever had 1 RA, but from reading various forum posts here I am not so sure. I am deciding between the KONKA or a 40" Samsung Series 6 http://www.samsung.com/au/support/detail/supportPrdDetail.do?menu=SP01&prd_mdl_cd=&prd_mdl_name=UA40B6000VF&prd_ia_sub_class_cd=P for $1888. What would you recommend?

I've never seen this particular TV, but I will say that the origin of the panel often has a much smaller effect on the TV's performance than the rest of the technology running the set.
After all, Sony's use Sharp and Samsung panels, Loewe use Sharp panels, as well as LG and Samsung... you get the idea.

personally i would not pick the Konka. it's one of the bigger home electronics manufacturer in China however the quality control could be a concern.

personally i'm also not convinced with edge led either, i'd rather get a ccfl and at that price you will be looking very close at 100/120Hz full hd 46" ccfl from sony or samsung
