Can anyone recommend a good cantilever mounting bracket for a 46" TV? I wanted mimimal distance from teh back of the TV to the wall when closed but able to swing 180 deg and tilt. Cheers John

The best idea would be to go store to store to store, and actually get hands on with the brackets. That'll give you a decent idea of their full motion range... which, with a 46" panel on the back... will be tricky when you're going for full 180 degrees.
Good luck, let us know what you find.

But seriously - I wasn't trying to be a 'funny guy'.
You need to get a template of your TV and take it with you to stores, put it on the back of brackets and see if it'll turn through 180 degrees... I'd be surprised to find one that can. But hey...

Yeah actually that wasn't meant as a joke.  Where have you looked, what have you seen so far.  What you're asking to do can cost a lot and be a pain to implement nicely.

Don't knock people who actually respond to your questions.

As a start I can contribute that Jaycar do this one:

Thanks Jason. That's what I am after. Sorry genuine misread.

I have been vacillating over LEDs and plasmas for some time. Tonight I'm pretty sure I'll go with the Samsung 50" series 7 Plasma. So will check that this bracket can do the business. I have an awkward room layout. Thanks for your help guys

I picked up today. Very heavy and looks pretty strong. Did you have any dramas putting it up?
