Hey, Anyone managed to transcode .wtv's into any other format? I'm running Win7 x64 and wasn't able to do it a couple months ago (mcebuddy etc). Just starting to look into this again

MCEBuddy 1.1 will do wtv - converts to DVRMS first.
v2.0 is being worked on that will do mkv - still a command line only beta at this stage.

Thanks. I've tried mceBuddy (all revs) but it won't work in NZ (h.264, aac) yet...
I was wondering if there was any other alternative that people have got to work. Like actually used themselves to transcode some NZ tv.

Ahh, you're trying with hd. I don't get FV HD, only sat, so it works fine for my needs.
According to an old thread VideoRedo was working on this

There are a couple of old threads on this if you want to do a search but I have been doing this for a number of months with DVB-T .wtv files in Windows 7 just using Windows Movie Maker addon to convert to a .wmv file and then using Xilisoft Ultimate video converter to convert to any other format from there - like vob, mp4 etc.

Files stay insync and the audio plays from aac or ac3 channels.
