Hey guys.

So I've finally bought my TV, cabinet and HT setup.

Question, what the best way to wire the signal for Xbox360/ps3 gaming to achieve the best sync between the tv and the amp?

Option#1

xbox360 --> HDMI --> TV --> HDMI --> Amp

Option#2

xbox360 --> HDMI --> TV --> OPTICAL --> Amp

Option#3

xbox360 --> HDMI --> Amp --> HDMI --> TV

Option#4 (this is even possible?)

xbox360 --> HDMI --> TV

--> OPTICAL --> Amp

Btw, if it helps...

TV = Panasonic 50" v20

AMp = Marantz NR1501

(btw, i realise there is a similar thread but thats to do with Bluray so i didnt want to hijack it)

I don't even know what you mean by #1, does your TV have HDMI out?

Anyway, I'd recommend HDMI into your amp from all your sources and then a single HDMI to the TV. See how it goes before bothering with any other setup.

hehe.. yeah i should have checked that. Its still in the packaging.

It doesnt have HDMI "out" so we can scratch that option.

I concur with Bazzer's suggestion. Just get everything connected through your AMP and single HDMI to TV. That's the cleanest and tidiest setup, you don't need any further setup.
