Mine arrived at 4pm today.  I offloaded the PS3 to youngest son and just listened to the silence ... Ahhhh.

Seems well put together and I quite like the remote.

Yeh that remote is amazing. I've only seen it in reviews though. Is it easy to type on? Love the design of the boxee box itself.

How does it compaire to the PS3?

All I use my PS3 for is streaming media from my PC with PS Media Server so Interested to know if this is a good replacement?

I think the remote is a reasonable compromise. If you imagine typing on a blackberry style phone, it has that sort of feel. For me, I need my glasses like I do for reading :-)

The non-keyboard use was very easy using the normal Boxee menu.

The unit comes with an HDMI cable which was a pleasant surprise.

Ultra quiet and I haven't managed to break it yet :-)

That's just what I did and why I bought one.  The PS3 was too noisy, but can play blu-ray.  In terms of content it plays more than the PS3 and qualify was just as good.  I use PS3 media server to publish the content and the boxee box works fine.  I had issues with current boxee software in this area, so D-LINK have put some uprated code in there to handle PNP better.

I can live without the BR player, especially as if I really needed it I have borrow rights on the PS3 still.

I like the case as it reminds me of a borg cube. YMMV.

We have a busy area near the TV so bluetooth for me was actually an advantage.  I bet there will be third party add ons soon enough

Belay my previous positive comments. The unit now resets itself on a regular basis and even when navigating round the menu you only get about 30 to 60 secs before the whole thing resets itself back to the main menu.

I'll see how I get on with the support forums and I'm hoping I'm just unlucky.
