Hi my xfx 9600 has always been running very noisy, i was thinking of getting NV silencer. which one will fit my card? also what are peoples opinion on it? currently using a silverstone LC17 case

I have to say that the stock cooler on my nVidia 9800GT is also quite noisy. The other problem with it is that if I am to put a card in the PCIe slot immediately next to the graphics card, it blocks the air flow to the fan and causes it to run at full noise trying to keep the GPU cool.

I'm curious to hear what your thoughts are with these coolers as I too would toy with buying one. I really hate fan noise so this sounds like a good investment.

On the other had, I have also toyed with the idea of integrated HD graphics on a new i5 processor, but that would mean a complete upgrade...
