I was wondering if anyone knew of newsgroups with NZ TV content?  With Digital Sky MySky etc I wonder if anyone is uploading any NZ TV?  I use easynews.net to get UK and US TV which works very well but I am having no luck finding NZ content.

Even the news would be good!!

I don't have MySky so this might be an obvious question, but how do you get content off your decoder? Does it have ethernet, or just a USB2 connection?

You can't. All data on the MySk srive is encrypted strongly. The possibilty of cracking it is the same as getting free Sky.

I have free Sky. Part of a remunuration package for my partner (because Sky can be billed on our TNZ account).

So you may not be able to extrct the data straight from a decoder .. you could always record it off one with a decent capture card....... Money mouth

I've noticed reference to getting Sky (Sat) free on other websites (can't rember which) but the threads get shut down. I guess it opens the site up to legal action.
Can anyone point us somewhere for direction?

There is no way to get "free" satellite Sky TV. Terrestrial UHF signals can be unscrambled using appropiate software but there is no way of breaking the encryption used by Sky Sat TV in NZ. Cloning cards is pretty common in other parts of the world but this is hardly free - somebody is still paying for the master card in the first place.
