Hi all,

I have been struggling to track down a good set of settings for encoding DVDs using Handbrake for cross platform use.

I would like to have files (and only a single file per movie) that are as high quality as possible and playable on Apple TV 2, XBox 360 and iPad.

Whilst I have been progressively encoding my DVD library over the years, I find that I only have a handful of files that are playable on all three platforms and I have been unable to figure out the optimal settings.

Any help welcome!

To be honest, I just use the Apple TV 2 setting and play it back happily on the XBMC, the Apple TV... and hopefully... when it turns up, on my new iPad.
Alter the quality settings, ensure the sound track is 5.1, and you should be okay.
Playing back via the Apple TV - the Apple TV 2 setting looks really quite good, very difficult to fault when compared to NZ broadcast TV.
