I've tuned my HTPC using WMC7s adjustment videos for Brightness/Contrast.  However, I note when watching stuff recorded off Freeview that blacks are more grey in colour and the colour is washed out.

This is seen in recordings and live tv.  Panel is set to 1920x1080@50

Is there any adjustments possible to tweak the brightness/colour and contrast of the Hauppage HVR 2200 DVB-T Card?

The card is simply capturing the raw digital signal, you need to do the tweaking under WMC.

Is this happening with all channels or just selected channels.

Also for tuning what did you use as the source material?

I'm seeing it on all channels. More noticeable on TVNZ channels. During the news and current wedding coverage looks slightly washed out.

I used the built in brightness and contrast tests in MediaCenter for tweaking the tv panel settings.

Everything looks ok, except live/recorded tv

I'd check your codecs and filters are correct. I'm using an HVR2200 with MythTV and just watched the wedding the the colours off the myPVR match Live Freeview|HD

You could try checking your video card driver colour/contrast/brightness settings...

Yep just thought of that today. Is an ATI card, adjusted video settings and all good now.

Thanks for your help :)
