I have my PC connected to my AV receiver with an HDMI cable, using the TV as a second display. Normally when I do that the audio comes through the AV receiver speakers just fine but today, the audio is playing only on the PC speakers and seems to be not going through to the receiver. Really puzzled - any ideas welcome. Thanks

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

obviously not the only cause, but it turned out to be so in my case - didnt touch any setting - config checked out to be ok - bemused me until i thought ah what the heck use another cable and it was fine. use the prev cable and had picture but no sound despite it sending it correctly. weird.
