I have just ordered the box set of all 3 movies from Amazon UK for NZ $75 including postage.

Cheapest price that I have found for this boxset in New Zealand is $120!   Whilst I would like to support local retailers whenever possible, ridiculous pricing differences such as this, make it very hard to do so.

I have over 700 blu ray movies and I reckon about 80% of them are imported from overseas.   This percentage has increased in recent times, particularly with the strength of the NZ dollar, and the free shipping options offered by Amazon UK and Zavvi in the UK also

JB Hifi does have it with the replica ring though! Is it worth $45? Probably not.

Were they having a sale when you bought it? I checked their prices when LOTR came out and it worked out to be $110NZD, that made JBhifi's price of $120 not seem so bad especially considering it came with the ring.
My friend bought it the other day and I was quite disappointed with it. 9 out of the 15 disks are dvd's and they still managed to not fit any of the whole movies on a single disk. I think I'll wait until the price drops significantly.

Was going to buy this until I saw the god awful PQ. The blue tinge looks disgusting. Will stick with the Theatrical Cuts until the re issue and remaster with the hobbit.

Can't be as bad as the original bluray release.  Fellowship just looks awful on it.
