Hi,
Not sure if this is the right section or not, but I currently have a x360 set up on my home network connected to the pc running xp media centre edition.
I understand that this can be used to stream music, pictures and certain movies in whatever format microsoft approve. I set up tversity last night to try and get around the issue of unsupported video files and its helped to a point, however, I am not getting sound through tv shows recorded using a USB dongle/GBPVR.
The issue seems to be restricted to prime, TV1 & TV2, I get sound from the ts files from tv3 recorded shows. I understand that TV3 broadcast in dolby digital (albeit 2.0 or sometimes 5.1 if your lucky) and the other channels broadcast in AAC (2.0 I think).
The files are recorded in .ts files and playback properly with vlc media player (with sound) so there is sound present in the files, interestingly the file is showing no sound channel on the 360.
The 360 is connected via optical cable, selected as dolby digital playback.
Is there something I am missing in tversity?
NB I have the same issue with PS3 and PS3 media server and the PS3 connected digital and analog so I don't think its restricted to the 360 as such
Cheers
