I need another set of bookshelf speakers.  I have a pair of Paradigm Mini Monitors which are just great.  Paradigm keep a very tight rein on their dealers to ensure the retail price is not discounted and at $1000 a pair, versus less than half that in the US, I’m looking at other options.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

What are you going to use this second pair for ?

Paradigm's home theatre range starts from $399

Best small speakers I had were some kef uni-q bookshelfs.

Really regret selling them now but money was tight and I couldnt really use them in the house with flatmates etc.

They are ported so you really need a decent highpass on them to get the best from them without them chuffing away and bottoming out at moderate listening levels, but once I had that set right they merged with the small sub beautifully, imaged the best I have ever had in the house and really revealed bad source material for what it was.

Thanks for the input everyone but that project bit the dust; I no longer have the need. By the way, I use the Paradigm Mini Monitors for editing video productions in my very small studio and I believe they are excellent for that task.

Thanks again.
