On Wed I had my system all set to go. Everything was working fine.
Then last night I made some setting changes on my TV to the bass and treble. Then today, no ARC from TV to Yamaha.
Looked at all my settings on TV and Yamaha - didn't see any issues.
Pulled out my hair until I stumbled onto the SIMPLINK on the TV remote. Putzed with that and viola' - got it to work again. SIMPLINK set to on and TV speakers set to HT Speaker. I don't remember turning this on or off to begin with, or last night but anyway, now when I turn on the Yamaha, it provides the tv sound thru my AV speakers and when Yamaha is off, TV speakers turn back on. Except when I power down everything and start it back up.  I have to go into Simplink again and turn speakers to HT.  Shouldn't this work automatically?
Is this how it's supposed to work?

Another user had an ARC issue between their LG Cinema 3D TV, and their Yamaha RXV667...
They resolved the issue by moving to an optical cable.
Not the first issue I've seen with ARC, I'm pretty sure it won't be the last...
