Can anyone help me choose between two 46’ LED TV’s – the Sony KDL46EX720 and the Samsung UA46D600. Both current retail for about $2300.

 The TV will be used for an average of 1 hour per night watching Freeview that has been recorded on a hard drive PVR and the occasional DVD.

 The TV will be wall mounted above a recessed gas fire place. Two walls of the room are essentially glass however most TV will be watched in the evening. I haven’t considered any larger than 46” as it will look a bit out of balance with the gas fireplace below which is about the same width as the 46” TV frame.
