We have a Sony Bravia purchased from DSE a couple of years ago.

Mysteriously when I enter the model no in the Sony website support section it tells me that there is no such model no. Except that it's written onthe back of the TV.

Does this mean the TV is so old that it is mo longer supported or have DSE simply parallel imported form another market.

KDL-40v4000 is the model no.

Hey Mike

It appears you have an Australian model Sony tv.

http://www.sony.com.au/support/product/KDL-40V4000

Hope this helps.

KDL-40V4000 was marketed and sold in NZ by Sony NZ, looks like their info online is incomplete, they do have a habit of only displaying current/recent models in search, esp on local www.sony.co.nz page

Here is the link for the 46" model. Everything should be the same.
