Firstly is your HDMI 1.4/a grade? according http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI it must be 1.4 or 1.4a to get ARC working.
secondly does the TV have HDMI 1 port marked as ARC?

While your receiver is HDMI 1.4a compliant (it does handle 3D etc) - I'm 95% sure that it does not feature ARC.
My advice, an optical cable between the TV and the receiver.
