Also, any interference? Other IR devices around, cordless stuff, etc?

I'm just using the driver that conmes in Rollup 2 (I think) will need to check. Just a standard USB MCE reciever - philps remote.

Not sure what model keyboard/mouse setup you bought.

For whats its worth, I bought a Hauppauge 150 kit from the Video Lounge (online) here in NZ.  That included a Microsoft remote and receiver and MCE operating system as well as the video capture card.

I then bought the Microsoft MCE wireless keyboard from Ascent (online) - it was cheaper than above.  I have to say that both the keyboard and the remote work very well.  Despite being IR, their communication with my Media Centre is excellent even if I point either device away from the media centre.  I have yet to fault with either device.

I was initally concerned at the mini "rubber joystick/button thingey" on the keyboard and wanted to get a trackball model (but couldn't find one).  Having said that, once you have used the button thingey for a bit, it's quite good.

..the tread goes around that far for a reason!

Got a replacement keyboard from ingram and it works a treat no more issues - looks like it was faulty hardware.

Just saw your thread now. Yeah, if every other key worked OK, except the A key my knee-jerk reaction would be to think most likley hardware aswell.   I've seen it occasionally on laptops too. Hit one key and half a dozen appear.

Jp.
