My partner and I are looking at getting one of the above as a Bedroom TV, just to watch Freeview on and the odd Bluray/DVD.
Its to replace an LG 42LD460 currently in there, which we need to swap out as everytime we turn on the Panasonic HT in the lounge it turns on (I'm assuming as a result of some sort of feedback from the panasonic remote or the wireless rear speaker modules for the HT). I've shifted the HT around, moved the boxes and still have had no luck stopping it occurring.

ANybody own one of the above and can reccomend it? good points/bad points?
It won't have alot of use (around 10 hours a week max, even in winter).

cheers
Simon

A top brand, vs a retailers house brand..hmmm. Sony have a good name for a reason, and that is because they product reasonable quality stuff, that is well designed. Granted that the sony isn't LED, but you maybe able to pick up the sony led one for not that much more.

Sony.
$698 isn't what I call cheap though, reckon you can get one for less... it's the bottom of the range Sony and places will price match / beat JB's price, especially when it's advertised on their website.

Hmmmm, might have to set the GF's negotiating skills to work, I walk away when she does it lol.
Depends what is in store that is slightly higher spec that she could "bargain" with the salesperson as well.

The Sony LED one is $699 on the Noel Leemings website, so they may match that. $699 is very good value for a sony LED one. Thats the same price jbhifi are charging for the non LED!

Thanks for the advice.
We wound up spending a bit more than anticipated and getting a series 6 Samsung LED...... An absolutely stunning screen.
My only worry now is that the 3D 51 inch spammy plasma in the lounge might now look a bit off in comparison.:-)
