The issue is just that the site hasn't updated since the 2th February.

There are no other public XML options that I know of, those who do offer XML EPG's keep things private these days to avoid letters from Sky's lawyers threating legal action.

I hope it gets sorted out :(

I can't believe sky care about an epg, the rest of the world have them and they're free... its not like you can buy access to an xlmtv epg from sky... i just don't understand what their issue is.

Yes, I agree totally. My guide runs out tomorrow night (Friday). But I have had this problem before on more than one occasion and so far (touch wood), it has always been rectified, albeit at the very last minute some times.

Its a great service he offers and its a shame that there aren't any other good options or available options that would keep Sky happy. Its a big bully that just 'keeps on taking.'

Here's hoping a fix is on the way.

Can't someone just get the data and post the XML file to a file locker site off shore?
Sky can't do anything about that.

This is what Haventech did.

I wonder if anyone has Sir Haventech's email to shoot off a query email as to what is going down?

If the reasons for it are financial i'm sure donations would come Haventech's way if s/he needs them if we have a way to do it.

There are a couple of email addresses in the whois record for the domain. I sent a short email, hopefully we get a response soon.

I would be happy to donate as well

Hey guys,

Sorry - The issue is that I have recently moved house, and am still waiting for Orcon to connect the internet... was supposed to be done last Friday... grr

Things will be back up and running as soon as I am online!

In the meantime, anyone got any tips on how to get action out of Orcon provisioning?

Haven, thanks very much for the post and update. That will ease a lot of geekzone contributers minds & their wives, including mine! (When I splashed out around $2k building my first MediaPC years ago, I knew it had better bloody work. Your data ensured it did - whew!)

Seriously though, and I have said it before. I have used your service for a while now and would like to send some $$ as ongoing thanks, quite frankly you deserve it. I have no doubt others feel the same way.

While I appreciate the low profile, please let me or someone know how I/we can go about that.

Cheers.

Remember folks, the minute money flows to his account, lawyers will pounce on him as a "pirate" who's been using copyrighted material to make money for himself...

Thanks for the update Haventech.  You have NO IDEA how much I appreciate your efforts, correction WE appreciate your efforts as clearly I'm not the only one who depends on your guide updates.  It's very appreciated.

I hope they sort out your internet soon, it's painful having no internet ;)

This

I'm about to move house with Orcon too so hopefully it happens nice and quick or I won't be able to download the epg at my end!

Haventech, do you plan to include some of the newer channels when you get up and running again? Sorry if you have recently, I haven't checked for a few weeks. Stuff like U, Channel 33, MTV classics and Hits, France 24 and stuff like that.
