Well, one of my TVs is an old CRT by Sony (well, it's 2003) and does have component. When I hook it up with a Sky decoder (I tried the DSR2000 and MySky) it goes all fuzzy, like when your picking up an UHF encrypted transmission. The TV manual says 'If your DVD player can output interlace and progressive mode signals. select the interlace output when connecting to the TV component video input. Your TV receive either 525i/60Hz or 625i/50Hz interlace signals/'

Does this mean that this TV can only have a DVD player on component? it does not mention any other devices.

I tried using both Component and RGB output settings on the Decoders. Same result.
