Is there such a solution? Over a single run of CAT6? I've googled but can't find anything...

Cheers.

You can run HDMI over a single Cat6 up to about 25m, but I don't think you would get IR too.

I was hoping I could get HDMI + USB over a single cable but that doesn't seem possible either

I could run another CAT6 cable but it wouldn't be equal length, and it would have 2 joins. Would that matter if I were to use something like this...? http://www.rapalloav.co.nz/hdmi-accessories-1/hdmi-wall-plates/hdmi-over-cat5e-cat6-extender-wall-plate.html

Try www.monoprice.com

They have the same product as Rapolla AV but at a third of the price. Shipping will cost more but if you are buying a few things it would be worth it.

I can't see why anyone would purchase from Rapollo with the markup they put on products, we get shafted enough by most electronic prices over here in NZ but 3-4 times the price overses is just taking the p**s.

Here is the monoprice link:

Computer dynamics have something but they aren't cheap. From memory about $400 each.
They come as two seperate purchases, a transmitter and a receiver, and are do hdmi, ir and rs232 over a single cat6.

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

You can also get HDMI (1.4a spec) over point-to-point wireless, again not cheap, but very cool.

This:

and this for your IR:

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/2-4g-wireless-av-sender-ir-remote-extender-silver-64011 Also has composite video and 2 channel audio, but you obviously wouldn't need to use it for that.

There is a standard called HDBaseT (http://hdbaset.org/) which should do what you're looking for.

Very few extenders will deal with a mysky remote.

And if you get the 2.4GHz wireless video link and only use the IR part, it will still be crapping over 1/3 of the 2.4GHz band with its video carrier even if you dont use it.

This is no good, the person wanted a single cable solution.

This is not HDMI, presumably it cannot do HD video.

$520.

I've emailed these guys twice asking if it supports mysky IR, but, they ignored my question both times.

Some outfits just don't want to sell their products.

Very few? Do you know of a single cable solution that does handle mysky IR and Full HD?

No, that was just in relation to the remote part. Not needed to worry about IR yet as I am still sorting out the HDMI part, but cable is cheap compared to some of the gear you see around.

Belkin does this - only 5.1 audio and no ARC...
BUT, the MySky remote does work.
I've seen an on-line review and saw it being used in a store - but it's not available to purchase yet??
