I have sent a feedback form to the TVNZ website several days ago and so far I have not heard back from them. I have also googled this. I am 99.9% certain that TVNZ's meaning has absolutley nothing to do with "Anno Domini".
Cheers :-)

LennonNZ: All it is is an alternative Audio Track which they have overdubbed someone describing what is on the screen overlaid onto of the normal audio track.
Its just an alternative to the AC3 or the AAC Audio Track. Whatever format they overlay the Audio onto I dunno but most TV's will tell you the audio format
For example on Sky if you press the setup menu when you are watching you can change the "Audio Language"
