Hi all

For some reason when searching by title to record a program using Media Center's EPG, it says "no results were found" and there are "7 days of guide listings", but if I use the guide method the program is right there, whats going on?

I use EPG Collector 3.1 with fixpak 7 to populate the Media Center EPG.

Thanks for any help

I've just tried this on my WMC test rig that imports data using EPG Collector and it worked OK.

Do you need to run the ReindexSearchRoot in task scheduler? This is just a guess as I'm no WMC expert.

Just to qualify what I said before Search did bring back some results but they were not the right ones.

Once I ran the reindex task it worked correctly.

Is "reindex" another task or is it an option within my existing update EPG Collector task?

It's a task in Windows Task Scheduler.

Start - Task Scheduler - Task Scheduler Task Library - Microsoft - Windows then click on MediaCenter and it's towards the end of the list of tasks (ReindexSearchRoot)

When I ran it on NZ Freeview data it took 2-3 minutes.

Thanks SJB, worked a treat, you do seem to be some sorta WMC Expert.

Ill add a trigger for to that reindexing task after my EPG Collector runs
