Hello everyone,

I am planning on starting an online business to sell crafty things that I've made (earrings and other decorated items). I'm searching for a low-cost web hosting provider that offers a site builder and also a shopping cart feature. Any recommendations welcome.

I've tried out a few of the free trials for various web hosting providers, but most seem to only allow one photo per product. I need to show the detail (a close-up) plus another photo of the whole product. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem?

Really the systems that hosting providers provide for free require some technical knowledge, as they will likely be open source ones, or really basic. Thus they won't provide any technical support for you for them, as they will tell you that they are third party. Therefore if it cart stops working or has technical problems, you have nowhere to go for support.
What you are looking for is a proper ecommerce hosted solution, that also provides support. I will PM you a link to a system I use which is really good and easy to use, and allows you to setup image galleries for products. The other option is to go to a web designer.

Thanks, I've seen felt.co.nz. The trouble is that not all the earrings will be made entirely by me. For example, I am importing necklace pendants from China and also some earring hooks, and then I'll be wiring the two together with a colourful bead in the middle. I can't claim that the earrings are "handmade" when the pendants were bought from China, so I don't think my products would qualify for felt.co.nz.

Hi Ali - I use www.webwidgets.co.nz - they're low cost and have a shopping cart that allows several pics per product, it has lots of templates and is easy to update or change. I use it for my business site (www.bodyworksmassage.co.nz) if you want to see what I've done.
