Hi fellow geeks,

I'm Claire, I'm the wrong side of 40 and I live in Auckland. In the normal, boring world, I work as a print specialist for an insurance company marketing department. On my own time (and sometimes at work) I am a gadget addict (you can never have too many!), avid Mac advocate and hobbyist video editor. Friends and family often refer to me as "tech support." I've been known to fly to America to attend sci-fi conventions, and have had the main character in a best-selling vampire series of books named after me :) I am also a weather nut, and collect clouds (well, photos of them). My best catch so far is a Kelvin-Helmholtz wave cloud.

I'm hoping I'll fit right in here. I'm active on several forms and can't believe I've not stumbled across this one earlier!
