Hello fellow geeks and Happy New Year!!  I have big plans for 2007 and thought this would be a great place to share them. I run a business called System Integration Partners (Si Partners) in New Zealand and specialise in everything BlackBerry – from installation, through to support through to the coolest applications and tools to mobilise businesses.I started working in the BlackBerry space over two years ago with NZ Lotteries – one of the first BES sites in NZ.

Using an application called METAmessage we mobilised the sales force and revolutionised the way reporting was done from the retailers around NZ. Since then I have presented for RIM and to Vodafone on data and mobility.
Last year I partnered with Si in Australia to bring some of the better applications and tools for BlackBerry and Windows Mobile to NZ.

Just so you can get an idea - from my BlackBerry I can reboot any networked server, add users, restart print queues (using Idokorro), access my CRM (using Salesforce.com and Vettro 360), send faxes, spell check, log my billing time and access back end databases (using METAmessage), log calls (using Vettro Fieldmaster), run PowerPoint presentations to a projector (using Impactica Showmate).

We are also in the process of bringing a digital pen to NZ (PaperIQ) which OCR’s your handwriting and sends it as a .PDF or Word doc to a website via your BlackBerry – it’s the coolest bit of technology I have seen for a while and can’t wait to get it on the market over here.

I hope to be giving some demos of these tools and technology in Wellington in the near future and look forward to hearing from any fellow geeks who are interested in touching bases about what I am up to. All the best

Liz

Welcome to Geekzone... It all sounds interesting. I am sure you will find some stuff here and will be able to contribute as well.

I only suggest you remove the phone numbers from the signature, for security purposes.

By the way, I know we will have your presence during the Windows Mobility User Group sometime soon, but I will contact you to participate in our Geekzone event later this year (this was Geekzone 2006 to have an idea).
