Methesda, or Martin, whichever you prefer.

I've just come to Wellington (in November '05), with a view to moving to New Zealand permanently.  I graduated in June with a Bachelors in software engineering, and finding the UK (my country of origin) a bit 'cramped', i decided to try my feet out in the country that I've heard so many good things about.

I'm currently looking for work here, with a view to securing a longer term contract that would allow me to apply for permanent residence, should I decide to stay when my year is up.

I am 29 years old and like all good geeks, and it seems many New Zealanders, love food!  That and just about every kind of (legal) experience going, from books, to skating, to fencing, to diving (scuba), to anime, music... you name it, i've probably tried it.

My first month has been interesting, but gathering opinions and feelings is slow out in the RL world. Smile  So i went to the internet, and was very pleased to find the Geek Zone site!

I've already popped in a couple of posts, and hope to be getting to know you all better, since it'll be good to get feedback on what I feel and experience here from such a broad range of people.  Think it would make a good blog theme too...

Happy New year everyone!
