Hello!
I'm Mate` and I'm thirteen years old.
As far as I know thirteen years olds are allowed to
use the internet and join forums without having
to have parental permission.
Anyways I am pretty sure I am a geek so naturally
I had to join geekzone. I've been surfing the 'net
for the past 4-5 years and it's pretty sweet. Speaking
of the internet I've been on dial-up internet for the past weeks
on account of the fact that telecom had run out of
broadband switches or something on the Okato
telephone exchange (I live in taranaki). Luckily
I was connected to broadband yesterday BUT
I don't know how to configure my modem for
it. I hope that wasn't too unrelated.
Now I want to warn you that because I'm thirteen
and most of the members on geekzone are
probrably much older than me I might sound like
a naive little kid at times. I'm always paranoid
that I might say stupid stuff or sound like
a jerk. I hope that didn't sound stupid or jerky
Well, I look forward to posting regularly on
geekzone (once I get my broadband
modem configured).
See ya!

Welcome to Geekzone! People won't take your age in account, when they see your participation, don't worry.

As for your broadband modem, it's quite easy - you probably have an install CD, so just go ahead and follow the instructions from the install routine. It should be all up and running in a few minutes.
