Hi All... Although I've stumbled across a few forum posts while googling random things I've never joined up before, so thought I should now that my internet connection is irritating the hell out of me ;)
Anyway, I'm Simon and I'm a garden variety Linux geek who can pull off a pretty good Richard Stallman impression (I, like RMS, derive my power/technical skills from my beard and hair)... and work as a Linux administrator in Wellington. In my spare time I enjoy LED lit walks around server rooms, mistaking my under-appreciated Raspberry Pi for a pack of cards and pining for the good old days of working with Vax/VMS (who wouldn't love fridge sized tape drives that took a single 160MB tape?)... and, like an increasingly large number of geeks, I can be fueled by either food or craft beer.
I'm looking forward to bugging you all with my questions/random insights... and hope that at some point I can actually contribute something useful to the forum/community.
