Long time browser, 1st time poster,  I seek help for my addictions for I have many many toys.  Some are useful, most are not.  My latest toy is 3kW of solar PV on the garage roof, I told my wife it was a skylight but I think I have been caught out. Again.  Solar PV has been an interesting process so far and I think there is value in sharing my experiences.  If there is interest I will start a topic or build on another thread, opinions?

Welcome to the madhouse.

I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it. If you use my Quic signup you can also use the code R570394EKGIZ8 for free setup.

Hi porboy, now that you have become a contributor as well as a browser, you will find this community has a lot to offer. I would suggest your latest project will find a home in either the home workshop or home automation forum.
72 hours without a purchase shows a lot of willpower, or were you sick or something?

Well I feel I am among friends, generous have the welcomes been.  I was not sick but diverted, it was Labour weekend all right?  All I did was idly pluck a weed out and then before I knew it I was Gardening! All day and the next.  I did however concurrently sneak inside and cycle my entire collection of 20+ rechargeable  AA batteries through a Maha MH C9000 charger  that charge/discharges/charges the batteries and checks their mAh capacity.  They are all now capacity matched and paired up, a few had to be discarded, very sad.

I'll head on over to Home Automation/Workshop and see Watts Watt under PV discussions.  Thanks again all for the welcomes.
