I work in the mental health industry and will hopefully secure my dream job at Mason Clinic Forensic Services one day...
I'm into inventing so use Sketchup a lot and am currently working on finalizing a design ready for 3D print stage.
One day I'd like to design a desktop PC system that is 'easy to move' i.e. the monitor/tower/keyboard/mouse are all combined in one compact unit. Now that I'm part of this community, I guess I could whip up some designs and see what you guys think...

Funny guy...After reading this, I used Sketchup to whipped this up - Basically I'm thinking about hinging the monitor onto the side of the tower and the keyboard at the front (mouse will slot into the the tower). The other side of the tower will have the wind-out power cord...

This is just a rough idea. I envision the final design to have:

  • monitor angle adjustable and detachable
  • detachable keyboard
  • wireless adapter

Place the unit on the desk, open up the Monitor/keyboard, unwind/plug in the power cord...Done!
