Hello everyone,

I used to be a bit of a geek myself, when I used to run a PC & Networking business. But I guess I am more of a Jack of all trades, rather than a geek, as I have been out of touch for so long.

I have just joined Geekzone to see if I can find a way to get my new Amazon Fire box working. I have been using Netflix on my PC via Spotflux and also Hola, however now I have a standalone device, I guess I'll have to see if there are any free or cheap services I can use to get it working.

I'm thinking new Gateway and DNS servers on my router, however if there is a way of programming the Amazon Fire as a standalone device, that would be preferable.

If any of you guys can point me in the right direction, that would be great.

I'm very impressed with the level of discipline at play. I used a term I have been using since the 1980s and got picked up for it.

No complaint, it's great that we all have to behave ourselves and presumably get booted out if we don't.
