Just thought I'd say a quick HI.

I'm Sig and I'm one of the three founders of SilverStripe. We've been working since 2000 on web stuff, and about a year ago we decided to open source our product, also called SilverStripe, which is an open source CMS/framework written in PHP5/MySQL ... i.e. it makes it easier to build and manage websites.

You can see a demo of it at and get all the guff at

My general day is caught up in writing about all the great stuff the hundreds of people around us are up to, such as the Google Summer of Code projects, answering questions on the community forum and IRC, giving quotes to people who want help building websites using our tool, and helping with the general management of the SilverStripe organisation.

There's heaps more about me on my silverstripe bio :)

Welcome to Geekzone! Good to see you were around at the Superhappydevhouse last weekend... It's great to have such a cool product being developed here in Wellington.
