Hi there everyone *waves*

I’m Alex. Thought I would finally post and intro myself, lurk about every so often on here and of course a host of other places.
Expat living in NZ now for just over 6 years. (whoohoo this year finally can apply for citizenship maan it’s a long 5 year wait hehe)

My interests are rather varied, I'm mostly involved with all sorts of flavours of UX* admin, software testing and the like these days.
Originally studied Art & Design , then IT, then Digital Film and then Photography. Still do some animation and 3D work every so often.

Do some live streaming radio shows, ever so often, mostly 80s pop and rock hits.

I mess about in the workshop a bit so I build some crazy stuff,  vintage saws, crooked knifes, Steampunk objects. Also do my own tattoo work, a bit Nutty to ink yourself but ah well since I have an art background it makes sense and is of course ALOT cheaper hehe.
(but boy you need to focus to keep that hand still on yourself hahahah)

Heading back full headed into Linux and open source now, live eat breath it now. (I think it’s time for a Linux tattoo hehe anyone got any crazy ideas?

Anyway, that’s me in a nutshell.
Hope to chat with ya all and maybe catch up at a  Linux meet soon.

Cya
Alex.

Hahahaha, that's a nickname for Browns Bay I hadn't heard yet, but it makes *perfect* sense hehe. Also, now I miss Bloem, so cheers for that. :P Anyhow, welcome - great bunch of folks on here and more geekery than you could shake a stick at. You should fit right in. =)

Welcome to the mad house.

I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it. If you use my Quic signup you can also use the code R570394EKGIZ8 for free setup.
