Wannabe Geek

#15634 1-Sep-2007 07:36

I am not a geek nor a wannabe (although others may dispute this). Some things interest me more than others and computers interest me a great deal! I started in 1992 with a Commodore 64 (aaahhhh fond memories), then went to an Amiga (yekkk), a 486, then a P2. All of these were second hand. I bought a brand new Compaq in 1999 and loved it. Being a safe little machine, I started to learn how to add ram and graphics cards and stuff. In 2003 I had a P4 built for me to my requirements (and have changed bits on that too). I am one of the seemingly minority that have this year, taken to Vista - I love it! I am about to pass my beloved P4 over to my son and am having built a nice new PentD Core 2 Duo with bells and whistles. I feel like a kid at Christmas! I enjoy dabbling with Paintshop Pro for among other things, digital scrapbooking, and with my amateur status photography and digicam, I love using Photo Story 3 to create dvd video diaries. When I am not attached to a computer, I enjoy taking my camera out for the day with my daughter, and also like to relax with movies or a book.
