Hi, I'm Smithy

I'm a long-time lurker but seldom poster (sounds like talk back radio lol) and thought it was time I lifted my GZ game.

I'm Wellington-based, back home after spending most of the noughties in Brisneyland... work-wise I've been a learning & development consultant for over a decade, though have been made redundant so currently looking for a new opportunity (possibly a career change) to kickoff once I finish my current role at the end of Jan.

I've done a fair amount of learning content development, which has highlighted some geekish tendencies, and I have particularly enjoyed developing training to help people get more out of their software/hardware (and no, that doesn't make me an expert - I'm very far from).

More generally I'm an avid sports follower, and am a beginner home brewer.

Thanks for creating a fantastic community and allowing me to be a small part of it.

Cheers

Smithy.

Since you've kinda been around for a while, "Greetings and welcome" seems a bit out of place!

Best of luck with the job hunting!

Keep calm, and carry on posting.
