Just a quick into, I have browsed and read the forums for a while. Though it would be time to make myself known.

I come from a Unix background the BOFH was my bible and we used to operate like that in days gone by. Memories of the good old days.

Started running a BBS, moved to Linux when the install was so much more entertaining than the non even it is today. Ran a small business for a  while while I was studying performing basic maintenance and installs of small business linux systems etc.

Then I decided to get a job and become a paid employee for some reason and worked for a SUN reseller, and then moved into the ISP side of things.

After a number of years I immigrated to NZ and landed a fair few roles in the telco market, and now manage a team within a telco.

Interests include Sailing, HAM radio and a number of other things I have done in my past.

At the moment a large project myself and a few other HAM's are working on is a mesh network.

That is me in a quick into.

Welcome fellow BOFH devotee, ahh the good old days when men were men and users were etherkilled.

I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it. If you use my Quic signup you can also use the code R570394EKGIZ8 for free setup.
