I have been reading various articles in this forum for sometime now and decided to join.

Now retired.

I was 50 years in Post Office and Telecom in various technical rolls including Switching, Transmission, Data (Analogue, DSTN, ATM, Ethernet, ADSL, SHDSL, VDSL, BPON and GPON (trial)).

So my interest is in things Voice, Broadband, UFB etc.

I am also interested in VOIP which I want to move to using my own modem with phone Ports.
Its seems to be a bit hit and miss out there when I start to investigate various options.
