Hi Geekzone laughing

My name's Josh Drummond and I'm the new marketing coordinator at Bigpipe. I've just moved up to Auckland from Hamilton, as in, I moved last night. Been good so far. Interests include the internet (in kind of an all-encompassing sense) snowboarding, mountain biking, drawing, painting, and just generally making stuff out of, uh, other stuff. In my previous life I was a freelance illustrator and writer.

So here is a link to a picture of a desktop computer I made out of my wife's broken laptop and a bunch of perspex, a few screws, a heat-gun and Ubuntu, which looks much better in this photo than real life.

(It would be a picture but I'm too new to post those yet apparently)

Congratulations on escaping the tron, but Auckland? ewwww :-P

Welcome to the madhouse.

I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it. If you use my Quic signup you can also use the code R570394EKGIZ8 for free setup.

Hi Josh

We'll miss you in the Tron. Now you've turned to the tech side, at least add a few new Cakeburgers every now and then so we know you can still draw :-).

New Cakeburgers are definitely on the to-do list. (When I'm not at work, naturally.) I think I like it here on the techside though, might stay for a while :D

Should have moved to Gore.

freitasm: Welcome to Geekzone!

Thank you! Now if only someone can tell me the keyboard shortcut for refreshing on a MacBook Pro. I'm used to Windows and every time I try to refresh a page on this thing I launch some kind of icon that doesn't do anything and looks like half a Japanese flag.

(Disclaimer: I am better at most internet stuff than I am with Macbooks).
